*** Kenneth Barnes Visit Day ***

Almost Fourty six years after he produced TAS for the machine
Ken Returned for a visit on 11th October 2010.

On the 11th October 2010 Ken returned to see Flossie
Ken departed from ICT Putney to form a Software company in the early 1960's and so SPL was formed.
Ken's company went from strength to strength and his company was responsible for finalising the
London University GCE Certificate system. Ken later became the driving force behind IT82
and the governments drive to raise the profile of IT within the UK.

One only has to read Ken's introduction to the Information Technologuy Year book 1983/4 to realise how the project became a self propelled marker in promoting IT in 1982.

It was not long before Ken started to explain his Association with the machine.

Ken was the driving force behind the idea to create the Thirteen Hundred Assembly
System which Ken confirms was very close to the Fifteen Hundred Assembler in design.

Ken now tells me he is still busy with life, and is the Chairman / Director for a youth Orchestra to keep him busy and Alert.

We look forward to seeing you back again soon Ken !
